Who We Are

Brothers for Change was founded in 1999 and finally became incorporated as a nonprofit corporation in 2004.

The name Brothers for Change came out of a group of brothers that came together once a week to meet and discuss the current conditions of The African American Family unit and at that time there weren’t many organizations that was focused strictly on African American Males and their fatherhood role. So working with African American Men and their families became our primary focus and to launch this project we partnered with a local Church Word 2 Heart Ministries and begin to have a Monday Morning goal breakfast in which there were three goals Spiritual, Physical and Employment.
